Read an RSS or Atom feed from any Windmill script or flow, and run something when a new item appears.
Set up in 3 steps
Find the feed URL
Most sites publish it in the page head or link to it directly. Any URL returning RSS or Atom works.
Add the resource in Windmill
Open Resources, add a resource of type rss, and paste the URL.
Schedule the trigger
The feed fetcher below is a trigger script: give it a schedule, and it returns only the items it has not seen before.
Scripts
Building blocks, if none of the projects above fit. Fork one, run it, or call it as a step inside your own flow.
Trigger flows from RSS
RSS is not only a destination. These inbound paths are supported today.
New feed items (scheduled poll)
A scheduled run returns only what appeared since the last one, so a flow acts once per item. To run it, open a flow, add a trigger and choose Scheduled Poll, then pick the trigger script and an interval. The steps after it run once per new item, and each flow keeps its own cursor.
Resource type
The shape of the credential every script on this page expects.

Questions
How does it know what is new?
The trigger script keeps the newest publication date it has seen between runs and returns only items published after it. Its first run returns everything currently in the feed.
